This week I've spent some more time working with OpenAI Codex to integrate it into my business' file system so that I can use the Codex to support.
I did the bulk of the setting up last week. This week has been more about tweaking things here and there, looking at the information architecture and moving things around to make it more sensible.
Having now played with Codex in relation to the files and business artefacts, it's helped me think about how I organise the information to better support the business.
An opportunity arose to submit some of my new poetry for publication. So I spent some time selecting which poems to submit and even more time getting to understand Scrivener's Compile feature.
The Compile feature is amazingly powerful and, because of this, somewhat complicated. It took me a good couple of hours and several YouTube videos to get to finally understand it and set it up correctly for what I wanted.
With this new knowledge, I realise that I should have probably organised my collection of writing in Scrivener differently. Something to remember for the next time.
On the writing front I published a couple of articles:
- Good Leaders Reduce Friction
How leaders can reduce their 'cone of friction'. - The Things we do on the Side
An Ode Map post about why hobbies are important for creativity.
I also had a spurt of creativity and drafted what I think will be the chorus for a new song.
My poor old car had its MoT test this week. I wasn't looking forward to it, and in the end they kept the car for two days waiting for various parts. I really should try and get a newer car, but I'm in that awkward place where I can't really afford a newer car and so I just keep having to fork out money to keep this one going.
On the listening front this week I have very much enjoyed listening to Nell Davies' singles, and "Hyper Cristal" - an album by Irène Drésel.
