Taking stock and a Yello doc.

Weeknote #30 (24 - 30 November 2025)

· Weeknote

A quiet week, but no less busy for that.
It gave me the opportunity to take stock of work, life, hobbies, and start to plan 2026. I will definitely be doing more music in 2026; I merely dabbled this year with a couple of remixes and some ideas for songs. Next year I want to get something more concrete done.

Monday was much of a wash-out; I was recovering from the 5 hours of driving I did on Sunday. Now that I’m driving a lot less, I’m finding it all the more tiring when I do.

Apart from a couple of client calls and a bit of nudging of leads, work was light.

Supported a mentee with their job application.

Now that The Ode Map is completely open and free-to-read, I re-published ‘When Inspiration Hits’; retrieving it from the archives for a new audience.

Next week I’ll be diving back into n8n. I have a weekly process that takes around 30 minutes to do, which is ready for automation.

Completed watching “Only Murders in the Building” series 5. With each series it gets ever more outrageous. But the writing is great.
Watched latest episodes of: “Shetland”, “Return to Paradise”, “Down Cemetery Road”, “Pluribus”.
Watched the first 3 episodes of “Man on the Inside” series 2.

Watching highlight was “Rolling Stone Shorts: Oh Yeah!”, which I’m proud to have been able to support the creation of.

Another week of eclectic listening:

  • Madilyn Mei - “A Thousand Songs About it all: Vol 1” album. Although, lyrically, this is a sad album, the music is uplifting. Mei is my go-to for a mental pick-me-up.
  • The Legendary Pink Dots - “Chemical Play School 25” album. I find Edward Ka-Spel’s vocals very soothing.
  • Austra - “Chin up Buttercup” album. Very nice, Canadian electronica.
  • Tchotchke - “Tchotchke” album. Fantastic stuff.
